“Achieving health literacy requires we communicate with people — not patients.”

I am proud to announce my panel session, “We The Patients,” at the 2022 STAT Summit in Boston this November alongside Peter Pitts and Kristie Kuhl. With gratitude, thank you for this opportunity.

While I may be wearing many hats (fedoras?) at the event like “nonprofit guy,” “digital health something something,” “Xoogler,” “loudmouth behind a microphone,” “despiser of group-think,” and “influencer who denies the existence of social media,” rest assured that atop all of the brims will be “patient advocate.”

What an incredible honor and privilege it is to be joined by a roster of so many storied luminaries at this extraordinary event. Who I am looking forward to meeting most would be like picking your favorite child.

But network I shall whilst spreading the gospel of the patient voice in service of “discussing the most important topics in health care with some of the industry’s greatest minds,” but also me.
