Every #pharma/ #healthcare/ medical device company should have an internal SME (subject matter expert) who identifies as a patient, #caregiver/care partner, or both to guide the development process. There is no proxy for the patient voice as to best optimize the #patientexperience.

There is no shortage of patients who are top-tier SMEs and would hit a home run at your #sales or #clinicaloperations meeting (leading to a permanent role) with how the patient perspective will add value to process improvement and ultimately save money. I’m tagging just a few who will hopefully comment, with many more to be noticed and compensated as consultants.

CONFERENCE PLANNERS: As you finalize your 2023 budgets, ensure that you have speaker honoraria and travel scholarships for patient advocates. Patients will not attend these conferences for free.
